Arson squad investigating “suspicious” house fire in White Gum Valley

THE arson squad is investigating after a house in White Gum Valley went up in flames last night.

Police and the Department of Fire and Emergency Services were called to the Hope Street property at 11.50pm on May 31.

The fire was extinguished but caused extensive damage to the timber and fibro home.

Nobody was home at the time of the fire.

Police are treating the incident as suspicious and a man in his 30s is helping with inquiries.
