Art, literature, music meld

Tree illustrator and composer Matt Ottley joined WASO and author Danny Parker in holding a number of Sound of Picture Books workshops to life, with six musicians performing while Mr Parker narrated the picture book and Mr Ottley’s illustrations appeared on screen.

The Literature Centre director Lesley Reece said the 12 workshops held last week had been so well received there was already a wait list for next year’s event.

‘Having a WASO string quintet, Alf Demasi on keyboard, author Danny Parker, and illustrator/composer Matt Ottley with us has given the Centre one of its most thrilling and creative weeks in our 21 year history,’ she said.
