A SMALL but dedicated group of artists is planning its second exhibition.
Cockburn Art Group, which is made up of a diverse range of local art enthusiasts, has been together for more than a decade but only held its first exhibition last year.
Following that, work from the last 12 months and a few other special pieces will be on show when its second exhibition goes live at the Memorial Hall in Hamilton Hill this Friday.
Group secretary Frances Myshell said exhibitors were hopeful they could build on the momentum gathered last year.
“We hope a lot of people do come through,” she said.
“Hopefully we’ll get a good turnout because there’s a nice mix of pieces.”
Ray Surman, who exhibited at Cottesloe’s 2015 Sculpture by the Sea, will be there.
He will have six canvases and two sculptures.
Other exhibitors include Ana Poznanovic, Debra Kessey, Maureen Chester, Terry Stone, Lal Harding, Joanne Roberts and Patricia Reed.
The exhibition will open on Friday at 6.30pm and be open daily between 10am and 4pm. It will wrap up with a demonstration morning on June 29 between 10am and noon.
