Beckenham man charged over Jandakot crash

A NINETEEN-year-old man has been charged after a fatal crash in Jandakot on Tuesday night.

The Beckenham man was driving a dark Ford Falcon east along Armadale Road, near Tapper Road, when it collided with a pole and a white Western Power Ford Ranger utility.

The driver and his two passengers, a 20-year-old man and an 18-year-old woman, were taken Royal Perth Hospital with serious injuries.

The man died on Wednesday evening and the woman is still in a critical condition in hospital.

Police charged the driver with unauthorised driving by a learner driver, dangerous driving causing death and dangerous driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.

He will appear in Fremantle Magistrates Court on September 9.
