Bicton: woman fined for stealing $650 worth of groceries from Coles

A WOMAN has been fined $500 after pleading guilty of stealing more than $600 worth of groceries from a Coles supermarket.

Kathryn Boulding pleaded guilty to one count of stealing at Fremantle Magistrates Court today .

On June 2 Ms Boulding went to Coles in Bicton and loaded a trolley with $659.38 worth of groceries and then attempted to leave the store without paying for it.

The items included meat, toiletries and general groceries.

Magistrate Steven Malley said that she would have needed a trailer to take out the groceries.

Ms Boulding said she was sorry for stealing and was under immense pressure looking after other family members.
