Fremantle Dockers Michael Barlow and Lee Spurr joined regular The Big Issue vendors hitting the streets of Fremantle on Tuesday to hand out copies of the 500th issue, which corresponded with the annual Christmas edition.

The Big Issue WA state manager Andrew Joske said they were honoured to be named a friend of the Fremantle Dockers Foundation.

“We’re incredibly fortunate to have the club get behind our organisation and this campaign to raise awareness of The Big Issue magazine and the homeless and disadvantaged people who sell it,” he said.
