While the main school body held their walk-a-thon at Point Walter, the pre-primary students were involved in their own event, taking part in a biathlon that saw them run and cycle around the school’s netball courts and oval watched by parents.

White Gum Valley’s Maureen French said it was great to involve the younger students in the annual event.

‘They were very excited and had been practising all week, with parents saying they had even been practising at home,’ she said.

‘It involves pre-primary students in the school community and creates good rapport between staff and parents, while helping raise much needed funds for the school in a fun, inclusive way.’
