Bin there, do the right thing

One "Reel it In" bin, part of a Swan River Trust campaign and supported by the City of Cockburn, was installed at the small jetty at Chelydra Point in Port Coogee, and the second at the fishing groyne at Woodman Point.

Cockburn environmental and waste education officer Claire Dunn said the bins cost about $400 each.

"We hope it will prompt people who enjoy fishing to consider the effects of their waste when disposed of incorrectly, to limit the harmful effects on our beautiful marine life," she said.
