Boats make a big splash

Jessica NicoFremantle Gazette

The Splash for Variety invited boat owners to take part in an enjoyable fundraising cruise, with 17 boats this year making the trip from Elizabeth Quay to Mandurah, giving locals along the East Fremantle, Fremantle and Cockburn coast a sight to see as they floated past.

Variety WA chief executive Michael Pailthorpe said the event was a big hit.

“The 2016 Club Marine Splash was a great success, raising $95,000 for Variety WA,” Mr Pailthorpe said.
