Breakfast employed to find work offers

The not-for-profit organisation held a Breakfast of Champions last week, hosting more than 100 Perth business people and enabling them to see first-hand the abilities people living with a disability could bring to the workforce.

Seventeen of the organisation's jobseekers attended the event and they received 108 expressions of interest from potential employ-ers.

A Rocky Bay spokesman said the event was similar to speed dating but for employment.

He said statistics showed there was 50 per cent unemployment among people with a disability who were able and willing to work.
