Candidates to have Cockburn council tilt

Mr Romano was announced as one of 12 candidates fighting for four positions to be contested during Cockburn’s local government elections in October.

He will challenge legal services worker Tegan Montgomery, 2013 candidate Michael Separovich and current councillor Stephen Pratt for the single Central ward position available.

Steve Portelli and Yaz Mubarakai are looking for another four-year term as councillors of the East ward.

They will vie for the two available spots against Community of Aubin Grove president Chamonix Terblanche, primary school teacher Ian Whitfield, Cockburn Youth Advisory Council member Luke Bowman, and former WA Youth Leadership award winner James Paxman. Deputy Mayor Carol Reeve-Fowkes will challenge Adin Lang for the single West ward spot.
