Car set alight in Hamilton Hill

A CAR has exploded into flames in Hamilton Hill on Monday night after reports of it being deliberately lit.

Fire crews were called to the blaze just after 8pm on Dadley Street, with one report the fuel cap had been pried open.

“Hubby and I were just about to put our six-month-old to bed and then suddenly we heard three continuous loud explosion sounds,” one resident said.

“Our street is usually pretty quiet.”
