The State Heritage Office will be operating the pop-up information desk and is encouraging members of the community to drop in and talk about the proposal.
“We are very keen to engage with the community and the information sessions offer an opportunity to have face-to-face conversations with State Heritage officers and ask questions about the proposal,” State Heritage Office executive director Graeme Gammie said.
“Heritage-listing a precinct of this size is a complex undertaking and the community’s views are an important consideration.”
Mr Gammie said the State Heritage Office had also recently posted information packages to all owners, tenants and stakeholders.
The pop-up information desk will be at the corner of High Street and Cliff Street on March 18 and 19 from 10am to noon.
The comment period on the proposal is open until May 2.
