Christmas not quite over for the needy

The program collected a number of essential items such as medical supplies, clothes, shoes, toothbrushes, toys and nappies from local businesses and community groups in the lead up to Christmas.

Members have now been delivering the items to underprivileged and vulnerable people in the South Metropolitan community.

Fremantle Medicare Local chief executive Christa Riegler said the response had been amazing.

‘The response we had from local pharmacies, medical centres, community groups and individuals was overwhelming and is testament to the generosity of our local community,’ she said.
