City of Cockburn gears up for Fur Run

THEY are man’s best friend but for three hours on Sunday, September 18, pooches will be elevated to VIP status.

That is because the City of Cockburn is hosting its Fur Run event at Manning Park.

Cockburn Mayor Logan Howlett said the event was brought back in 2016 due its popularity in its initial run last year.

“It’s a great opportunity for people to be active and socialise their dogs whilst enjoying the lovely surrounds of Manning Park,” he said.

The now annual event will offer free vet checks and a range of pooch-friendly activities including the Fur Run, a competition for best dressed dog, agility displays, and pet grooming.
