City of sand takes shape in arts centre

Jessica NicoFremantle Gazette

Fremantle Arts Centre's Asialink exchange artist in residence Yenting Hsu from Taiwan will bring the beach indoors in a bid to build a city of sandcastles inside the gallery.

She said she felt "very lucky" to be doing this project at Fremantle Arts Centre.

"It’s not surprising to see how people enjoy the ocean and the beach here in Fremantle, but it’s still impressive for me," she said.

"I got an idea to make a playful waterland to see human's relationship between water and land."
