Club kicking goals for sick kids

Bryce LuffFremantle Gazette

The Hammond Park Junior Football Club, led by president Jason Burton, is planning a 24-hour relay around Botany Park this weekend.

During the Campaign for Cancer 24 Hour Relay, at least five people will be circling the park at any one time, with entertainment and food stalls throughout the relay.

The deaths of two children associated with the club and the current battle faced by junior player Evan Wilson-Banks motivated Mr Burton to organise the relay.

Evan's mother Christine said she was amazed by what was planned.
