Cockburn Youth Centre hosting basketball game to celebrate youth workers

AN afternoon of basketball will be held at the Cockburn Youth Centre on Wednesday.

Organised by the Cockburn Melville Fremantle Youth Interagency, a network established 20 years ago, and supported by State Basketball League side Lakeside Lightning, Game On will feature a casual basketball game between young people and youth workers.

It is being held as part of International Youth Work Week, recognising the contribution of youth workers to their communities.

Cockburn’s youth development officer Gemma McDonald encouraged kids and youth workers from all over Perth to attend.

Those interested can visit the Cockburn Youth Centre on Wednesday between 4pm and 5pm.
