The CBC Fremantle green and white went onto the field with Clontarf’s gold, black and red, with players from both teams swapping colours for a fully integrated match.

CBC Fremantle indigenous education co-ordinator Peter Baldry said it was great to celebrate Naidoc Week with something that communicated well to the boys and something for which they shared a passion.

‘The boys love their football, and playing a game with Clontarf was a publicly positive symbol for the boys of the message behind Naidoc Week. The boys experienced a true sense of camaraderie and shared experience, a powerful message of inclusivity and community.’
