Crossing win for students, parents

Hundreds of students crossing Ivankovich Avenue to get to the shopping centre will now be able to avoid busy school-time traffic after the school’s most recent application for a Type A crossing was approved.

The crossing is expected to be functioning within the next few months.

South Coogee Primary School parent Veronica Kilrain said their application had initially been knocked back in 2014, but a 257-signature petition accompanied Cockburn MLA Fran Logan to parliament to get the ball rolling for the eventual approval.
