Day a taste of life at sea: Fremantle Port’s Maritime Day

The Duyfken replica, training ship Leeuwin and a Svitzer tug will be open for locals to have a walk through.

Free boat rides around the inner-harbour will be on offer all day.

The Royal Australian Navy and James Fisher Submarine Rescue Service will also be involved, while the Maritime Museum will be open for a gold coin donation.

For the first time in the event’s history, there will be a demonstration of mobile X-ray and detection units from the Australia Border Force.

The Fremantle Ports’ Maritime Day is on October 31 from 10am to 4pm at Victoria Quay.
