East Fremantle: Richmond Primary School gets in the Christmas spirit

SANTA Clause is coming to townand the students at Richmond Primary School in East Fremantle are excited.

The students were counting down the days to school holidays when the Fremantle Gazette visited to ask them what Christmas means to them.

Year 1 student Charlotte Watson said Christmas was when Jesus was born.

“You celebrate him with presents,” she said.

“In our family we pull Christmas crackles and give presents to our family.”

Hannah Foley (Year 5) said she celebrates Christmas with her family on December 25.

“Christmas means to me giving and receiving gifts,” she said.

“It also means spending time with my family.”

For Scarlett Hinde (Year 2) and Emily Agnew, (Year 3)Christmas means spending time with family.

Year 6 student Noah Zafer said Christmas meant more than celebrating a religious festival.

“It also means going to Rottnest and eating some prawns,” he said.
