Family to walk in memory of daughter

Bryce LuffFremantle Gazette

It will be the fifth time Paul and Dijana Simic have taken part in the Big Walk in memory of their daughter Sindi, who died after a battle with cancer three years ago.

Their little girl was diagnosed with a brain tumour shortly before her second birthday and passed away at home with her family two years later.

Her mother Dijana said she spent more than 250 days in hospital battling the disease.

“Everyone tried their hardest to save her but because of the position of the tumour she passed away with us at home two years after being diagnosed,” she said.

“We miss her every day, especially her big sister Alisija, but we are still so grateful for the team at PMH for their support and care.”

Family and friends will again take part in the charity walk, which Ms Simic said was a special way to remember and honour Sindi and support the PMH Foundation.
