Kendra Beecroft, Fran Alarcon and Kate Ballard will walk from Kalamunda to Chidlow for the event, with the aim to fundraise for people living in poverty around the world.

Ms Beecroft said their team, named Shake Your Trail Feather, saw the event as a great opportunity to raise money for people in need.

‘Our target time to complete it is about 35 hours which includes a brief sleep,’ she said.

‘We’re trying to fit in as much training as possible which involves plenty of weekend walking to build up our physical and mental stamina.

‘Our principle reasons for participating was to raise money for Oxfam to support their work and it is great to know the money we raise goes towards providing people with the skills, knowledge and resources to help them create their own solution to poverty.’
