The Hilton Street by Street group event invited locals to an outdoor afternoon tea, setting up a table under a shady tree where residents could bring a plate of food to share and get to know one another.
Organiser Maureen Maher said children played on their bikes and adults enjoyed a relaxing chat.
“The invitation was a little last-minute, so I was a bit concerned about people coming along, but we had enough people, some new faces from other gatherings and plenty of time to sit and chat,” Ms Maher said.
“Everyone enjoyed themselves and I think just having events every few months is a great way to stay connected to those who live around us.
