Festival judges go for Jugular

Staff ReporterFremantle Gazette

Jeremy DeCeglie’s psychological horror film Jugular took out the Best Film award. DeCeglie also won the award for Best Director and one of his actors, Gregory Pakis, the trophy for Best Male Actor.

DeCeglie said being a part of the festival was a rewarding experience and the awards were the icing on the cake.

‘It was a great night… very rewarding, very surprising, really great to see Greg Pakis get some kudos for the effort and art he put into his performance,’ he said.

‘All I had really done for the year prior to that night was work on the film ” like literally, day and night ” so we were pretty stoked.’
