The annual Truffle Festival will return to the markets for its second year next month, celebrating those locally and around Australia who produce and grow the delicacy.

Great Southern Truffles’ Adam Wilson said the festival was a great way to teach the locals about the wonderful ways they could use truffles in winter.

‘After the success of the Mundaring festival we needed a festival in the heart of Perth and what better place than at the Fremantle markets?’ he said.

‘It is one of the most mysterious and delicious products in the food ingredient world, chefs all over the world regard it as one to the best ingredients with a very unique flavour.

‘The public will be able to try truffles from food vendors who will be using premium ingredients topped with truffle.

The Truffle Festival is at the Fremantle Markets on July 5 and 6.
