Filmbites Youth Film School offering holiday classes

Bryce LuffFremantle Gazette

IT could be “lights, camera, action” for budding big screen stars over the holidays with a Perth film school offering youngsters the chance to shine.

Kids taking part in Filmbites Youth Film School’s short film project will be guided through three days of lessons on shooting, equipment use, story structure, camera technique, crew roles and story and character development.

Filmbites’ projects manager Peta Kalaitzis said the class had been run about 30 times over the last few years.

“As it’s the school holidays we aim for all the students to have as much fun as possible, as well as learn lots of useful filmmaking techniques,” she said.
