She is one of 25 Polytechnic West students selected in Team WA’s squad to compete in areas including retail baking, welding and construction steel work.

Ms Franchi will compete in vehicle-painting and could earn a place in the Australian Skillaroos team to compete in Abu Dhabi in 2017 if she performs well.

She is currently honing her skills with Stokes and Renk Panel and Paint in O’Connor.
