A purrfect cat cafe could be fur real in Fremantle

CAT lovers get ready, a new Cat Café is coming to Fremantle.

The City has given approval for a food business to operate as a Cat Cafe at 99A Hampton Road.

The premises will be allowed to keep up to 20 cats.

A report tabled at council stated all cats had to be micro-chipped and sterilised.

“The cat café staff management confirmed they will each day provide food and water for the cats, clean their litter trays and move the cats in and out of their night quarters to the cat lounge each trading day,” it read.

“To assist with hand hygiene the proposed food business fit-out plans show a hand wash basin located in the immediate vicinity of the cat lounge ‘airlock’ and the sanitary facility so hand washing by staff and customers can occur.

“The dining room and the cat lounge are also physically separated by full height panel glass walls.”
