Fremantle: Former Kookaburra hockey player Matthew Bird pleads guilty to drugs charges

FORMER Kookaburras hockey player Matthew Bird pleaded guilty in Fremantle Magistrates court this morning to three charges of selling a prohibited drug.

The Coolbellup resident was caught selling drugs in Perth on February 18 and 30 and in Bateman on May 3.

Bird did not enter a plea for another charge of possessing a weapon but will come back to Fremantle Magistrates Court on August 28.

His bail has been extended.

Bird will appear in the Perth District Court on August 3 for sentencing.
