A CELEBRATION of all things Freo will take place on Friday August 3 at the annual Fremantle Foundation Ball.

All proceeds from the event will support the foundation, which has granted over $800,000 to organisations in the City since 2010.

Last year the event raised $90,000.

Tamara Cook said it was the first time Known Associates has worked with the Foundation on their ball.

“I have known (Fremantle Foundation chief executive) Dylan Smith for a number of years and attended the ball, we’ve been working with them for about six months now,” she said.

“We are the first point of contact for the entertainment, organising and styling the venue.”

The ball will feature a gelato van which operates in Fremantle and the menu will have a Gino’s inspired entre.

The Melville resident said the ball is the only one of its kind in Fremantle.

“It is an entertainment ball, there won’t be a heap of speeches,” she said.

“It’s a feel-good event focusing on community spirit.”

Mr Smith said they hope to raise just as much as last year.

“We will be raising money throughout the night with a raffle, silent and live auction,” he said.

“Our prize for the raffle includes return tickets on the direct flight from Perth to London and tickets to West End show.
