Fremantle Police still looking for owner of found photo album

Jessica NicoFremantle Gazette

YEARS worth of memories are collecting dust in the Fremantle Police Station as officers continue to search for the owners of a photo album found in April.

Police Auxiliary Officer Luke Freeman said a member of the public found the album outside the Fremantle Prison on April 20 and police have used social media, as well as contacts at the Museum of Western Australia, UWA and the State Library in an attempt to find the owners but to no avail.

Officer Freeman said the album, which is grey with gold trim, is full of photos dated between 1914 and 1965 and includes landmarks in Belgium, Holland and Germany, as well as many photos of what police presume are family and friends.

“It would be an excellent result to reunite this historical piece with its rightful owners,” he said.
