FREMANTLE harbour master Captain Allan Gray (54) will skipper his worldwide colleagues after being elected president of the International Harbour Masters’ Association (IHMA) in London last week.
“My vision for the IHMA is to see an organisation that supports its members and speaks for them at the international level, particularly via the International Maritime Organisation,” Capt Gray said.
He was previously the Federal Master for the Company of Master Mariners Australia and in his day-time role is responsible for the management of shipping in both Fremantle’s inner and outer harbours, from waters north of Rottnest Island to Rockingham.
