ANDREW Sullivan has reclaimed his seat on council after winning the South Ward by-election for South Fremantle.

The October election was declared invalid in December after the Electoral Commissioner made a complaint about the election result when it found Ben Moodie, a candidate in the South Ward, was not living in the area when he nominated.

The residents of South Ward had a choice of three candidates – former councillor Andrew Sullivan, Marija Vujcic who ran in the October election and Christopher Williams.

Former councillor Sullivan received 856 votes, Marija Vujcic received 608 and Chistopher Williams 248.

Voter participation was 44 per cent.
