“It is a fun and a great chance to try different beers,” he said.

“The festival has changed with more breweries opening up, everyone has got new different beers and special releases.”

Gage Roads production brewer Ross Brown said Western Australia has really led the craft brewing scene.

“This is where craft brewing really kicked off,” he said.

“It will be a great showcase of WA breweries.

“The craft beer trend fits in with a lot of the food culture, it has built up over time.

“We are getting new styles developing, breweries are experimenting with new flavours.”

The Fremantle Beer Festival will bring 50 WA brewers to Fremantle's Esplanade Reserve in a huge three day celebration from November 9 to 11.

Mr Heary said Little Creatures would offer a range of beers at the festival.

“Beers on the stand will include the birthday beer as it’s creatures birthday month in November,” he said.

Mr Brown said Gage Roads would offer something similar, including a special beer brewed for the event.

“We have a really hopped up ale that we brewed for the event that fits in the Gage focus on the coastal relaxed kind of lifestyle,” he said.

The festival will also include a performance from Grinspoon’s Phil Jamieson.
