THE Dock Wharf Bar is returning to Fremantle and will be open until New Years Eve.

The nautical themed pop up opened at Victoria Quay’s B Shed last year and featured an eatery and a waterfront beer garden.

Dock Wharf Bar director Tim Caporn said they had such a good time putting it together they wanted to bring it back.

“The guys sent out a survey to get a community response in Freo and they wanted us to come back,” he said.

“We are also part of the new campaign in Victoria Quay – the Quay to summer to activate the area.”

Fellow venue director Pierce Ericson said there will be an updated food menu and more bars on offers this year.

“We will have 18 beers on offer with a rotating tap every week with guest beers,” he said.

“We have an aperol spritz bar outside and on Fridays we will have a bar serving oysters and champagne.

“There will be more theming, more music and more of everything that everyone loved last time.”

Mr Caporn said there was something special about witnessing the port in action and being able to bring your dogs down.

“Seeing the tug boat bringing in the ships and turning it around, having the Leeuwin out the front and coming in at sunset, everyone is taking pictures,” he said.

“We have entertainment on in here but there is entertainment out there.

“A lot of people who come here from outside the area, they come here and go on to enjoy the whole of Fremantle which is really important.”

The bar is part of the Victoria Quay activation which includes Maritime Movies and other markets.

The Dock is open from 12pm-midnight.
