Fremantle: three men charged with weapon, ammunition and drug offences

FREMANTLE Police have charged three men after they allegedly found a replica handgun, live ammunition and drugs in a vehicle.

On Saturday, November 10, Fremantle Police conducted a random vehicle stop along Queen Victoria Street near James Street in Fremantle.

The police say they uncovered what they believed to be a Browning Replica style handgun, but was found not to be harmful.

The handgun did allegedly contain live ammunition.

Three men were charged with a variety of offences after a search of a residence in Parmelia.

The male driver was charged with no authority to drive and the first male passenger charged with possession of a controlled weapon and possession of unlicensed ammunition.

The second male passenger was charged with possession of prohibited substance methamphetamine, cannabis and drug paraphernalia.
