Schoolchildren lay crosses at Monument Hill War Memorial as part of Rememberance Day

Instead of being solely part of the audience, the students were given crosses to lay at the memorial following the proceedings, each bearing the name of one of the 849 Fremantle men who fought in World War I. The Fremantle Men’s Shed crafted the crosses.
