Jodie Salmon was celebrating her parents’ 30th wedding anniversary in Dunsborough when she received a call that her Kia Carnival had gone up in flames.
The car was damaged after the brush fencing at the front of her parent’s Regent Court property was set on fire about 9pm on November 29.
The car was parked next to the fence.

Emergency services were called and the fire was put out soon after.
Parts of the home were also scorched.
Ms Salmon, from Baldivis, said the insurance had lapsed a month earlier. She was unable to pay it with other bills taking precedence.
The mother of four boys under 12, including one who needs regular medical attention, was devastated.
“Without my car, I’m lost. Seeing the car in person, I just burst into tears. It’s devastating,” she said.
Ms Salmon, a business administration student, said she was angry she had been left out of pocket because of someone else’s actions.
“They probably thought they’d have some fun and light up a fence, not knowing how stupid and out of hand it would get,” she said.
“But I can’t get anywhere now.”
A spokeswoman for WA Police said the incident was reported to police and inquiries are under way.
