Local mosaic artist Val McRudden helped 30 workshop attendees from the Buds n Bloom gardening group create the pieces, and they even received some help from Hilton Primary School students.

Buds n Bloom facilitator Sasha Wray said the pieces came about because the group wanted to create signs that were in keeping with their sustainable living ethos.

I wanted round stepping stones and Val sketched out a basic design, she said.

Each person was then given creative licence with final design and colour with Vals expert guidance. Nature art adds to creative play and a love for gardening and we hope people come away from the garden inspired.
