Good Crazy cafe open for business in Fremantle

Leah RobertsFremantle Gazette

IT was once a dream that has now become a reality for Canning Vale resident Marie Merrin, who opened her brand new cafe Good Crazy in Fremantle last month.

The new owner said she was given a chance to take one year off to try this new venture.

“I worked in the public service for 18 years; they have been fantastic in allowing me to take a year off,” she said.

“When I was younger I worked in hospitality and I have always wanted to go back to that.

“An opportunity came up to take over this venue, so I took it.”

Mrs Merrin said it had been a life-long dream for her.

“I wanted to run a bar but I have small kids, so the cafe hours work out much better for now,” she said.

“At the moment I want to provide affordable food to people in a rush.

“I know there are many successful cafes around Freo, so hopefully with time I will find my groove and establish my own style.”

Good Crazy will be giving away free coffee on opening day and will be open from 7am to 3pm weekdays.
