Karin Eastwood said she was proud to be sharing the stage with her son George at the university’s upcoming graduation ceremony.

When George began his undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sport Science in 2011, Karin accompanied him to an information evening where she was encouraged to consider a postgraduate course in business.

The pair will graduate alongside each other on December 10.

“While I was interested, I thought that university study was beyond me,” Ms Eastwood said.
