Green walls a growing idea that deserves consideration

The project, an initiative between the Curtin University Sustainability Policy Institute and the City of Fremantle is a trial run, aimed at checking the possibility of creating green living walls within the city.

Fremantle mayor Brad Pettitt said they would monitor the two walls and investigate which plants would be suitable for the project in the local climate.

‘This project is not only going to make Fremantle a greener, more beautiful place, it is also going to contribute to important sustainability debates about how we green our streets and bring ecology back into our city centres,’ he said.
