The Tenancy WA founder, who has also worked for the Women’s Law Centre, said she would be looking to continue the focus on “progressive” representation that Labor incumbent Melissa Parke had brought to the role for the last nine years.
“It is an exciting time for Fremantle in terms of voters looking for their next progressive lower house Federal MP,” she said.
Historically a safe Labor seat, Fremantle deputy mayor and Melissa Parke staffer Josh Wilson and Maritime Union of Australia’s Chris Brown both nominated for the Labor Party.
