Gym buddies exercise support for friend

The ‘Go for Jo’ campaign at Cockburn boxing centre Round 1 will be held at 12pm on July 7 to raise money for the Cancer Council of WA (CCWA) and support member and friend Jo Ruddick (27) as she undergoes cancer treatment.

Mrs Pratt said she and several others, who are also losing their locks, had no trouble finding ways to help raise money.

‘Because Jo has been so proactive in her diagnosis ” she’s used the opportunity to go out and raise money for CCWA ” it was easy for us to get behind her.’

‘I’m quite looking forward to having no hair, it could be quite liberating not having to do my hair every day.’ The close-knit gym community has already raised nearly $10,000.
