Pia Passanisi and CJ Reed will join a group of hairdressers taking part in the Shaping Futures program to take part in a six-week training program for local Filipinos to learn a trade. Ms Reed, who has taken part in the program before, said she was looking forward to having another go.

‘By teaching disadvantaged people from areas in developing countries how to cut hair, we want to give them a new start in life and the prospect of a lasting future,’ she said.

‘I think I speak for all of us travelling when I say that being able to assist communities in need is both an incredibly humbling and rewarding experience.
