Hamilton Hill: Chris Ferreira sustainability masterclass to help make life ‘healthier and happier’

Bryce LuffFremantle Gazette

SUSTAINABILITY expert Chris Ferreira says a gardening masterclass in Hamilton Hill tomorrow will help people live healthier, happier lives and save them a bit of dough too.

The class, to be held at the Memorial Hall, is designed for those keen to take their sustainability projects further and will include talks, one-on-one planning advice and a visit to Ferreira’s retrofitted eco-home.

“There’s an increasing amount of research showing that if you spend just a little amount of time retro-fitting your home, it will cost less to run,” Ferreira said.

“And we’re talking about creating spaces that you want to be in and that give back; ones with fruit trees and bee hives.”

The class, run by Ferreira’s The Forever Project and supported by the City of Cockburn, is for Cockburn residents only.

It will be held from 10am to 4pm and costs $35 per person.
