Bryce LuffFremantle Gazette

IF you have a penchant for paintings, then an exhibition opening next week is just for you.

Cockburn artists Ana Poznanovic and Ray Surman will have up to 70 paintings on display at the Hamilton Hill Memorial Hall’s round room.

Surman said his pieces featured his interpretation of the Abrolhos Islands and Majorca, two places where the Hamilton Hill resident has spent plenty of time.

Spearwood resident Poznanovic said her pieces were a mix of landscapes and still life.

The exhibition will be open between 10am and 4pm, November 19 to 24, with Surman to attempt to be at all sessions.

“I like to talk to people about art and how it happens,” he said.

“Normally you don’t get to talk to the artists but people appreciate it because they get the inside information about how it comes together.”

The Memorial Hall is located on the corner of Carrington Street and Rockingham Road.
