Help at hand for Fremantle families

The service aims to work closely with experienced and qualified child health specialists, who will work with children and their families to overcome emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Fremantle Medicare Local chief executive Christa Riegler said the service would provide benefits for infants and children who suffered from issues such as anxiety and depression.

‘It can be a difficult topic for families but children who learn how to cope with it, benefit as adults later in life,’ she said.

‘There are numerous issues that infants and children can face and if left unresolved, these can develop into more complex mental health issues as adults, potentially resulting in poor quality of life, difficulty in seeking employment or completing higher education.’
